Bad Publicity Is Nothing But A Stunt – Taylor Barnum

The last few weeks have seen the words of the American Showman, Business tycoon and Politician, Taylor Barnum play out in APGA and Anambra State with the unfortunate and ridiculous decision of my party leadership.

Before now, many have been asking who is Hon. Chukwuma Michael Umeoji KSJI, MHR, – I remember few of my friends who lives abroad but are so much interested in the politics of motherland and others who are based home, who queried that he was unknown and not always on the sponsored pages and microblobgs of many known PRs just like other politicians would always do; they asked me severally to enquire more about this new Messiah whom I had prophesied will take Anambra State to the promise land and consolidate on the numerous achievements of HE, Governor Willie Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano and the APGA administration in Anambra State in the last fifteen (15) years.

Many became curious and inquisitive to read more about the Ezinifite Aguata born Congressman, who’s more like a different breed of politician in a clime already saturated with half baked leaders.

I, alongside my media group whom I must sincerely commend their professionalism, energy, tenacity, courage, strength and stubbornness; we embarked on this journey to preach the sermon of the man who had within the last decade redefine Public Service, a man so averse to praise-singing, media and photo stunts, he believe in getting the job done instead, and allow his achievements overwhelm the public.

We preached the gospel of a man who puts the State and society first, a man who considers Public Service and Politics an avenue to give back to the society, invest on Human Capital and Community Development and serve the common man and woman on the streets like he would do to the college Chancellor.

A natural born leader, and policy strategist worthy of adulation, but instead would opt to do the Job with less fuss which isn’t relative with our brand of politics; his dispositions would outwit many of his opponents which made them tagged him a light weight politician and an underdog in the race for the APGA ticket for November 6, polls.

Rather than fuss and fanfares, his interest was never lost nor swayed from delivering people’s centric projects, attracting needed infrastructures, providing an environment safe for young people to thrive and gain knowledge and skills for their development.

He embarked in consultations highlighting his achievements in previous Public Offices, to Stakeholders and common men and women in the society whom he would always affirm, that he owe account of his stewardship.

To him, promise without quality track records and antecedent lack merits, he pushed his achievements to every nooks and crannies, which led to the strong Grassroot appeal and support across Anambra State.

In just months to the APGA primaries, he became the “poster boy” for Government of the people, by the people and for the people’ – he walked, dined, shared in the joy and agony of the major and minor.

Many a times, we were pushed beyond the horizon and to the edges of gutter politics by those who were threatened by the rising profile and acceptance of Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji KSJI, as humans with No special features to accept just anything thrown at us, we would repel the rascality in affirmation of the fact that madness isn’t exclusive to any group, organization or kindred.

We hinged our in house campaign and consultations on track records, quality antecedents, issued based and leadership stability which displaced and dwarfed every other aspirants jostling for the APGA ticket and oppositions for the November Gubernatorial.

From the position of underdogs, the name of Hon. Chukwuma Michael Umeoji KSJI, MHR, rised like a phoenix when the party leadership raised her pick stick and shot self in the foot with the purported disqualification of the man whom every one was already set to watch, a man who already gunning for another landslide 21 – 21 victory for the APGA party.

The flagrant and purported disqualification which became a counter-productive decision, was followed by the tantrums from a few eternal sycophants who had re-grouped to lead the way for a Bad Publicity just to give the dog a bad name for him to be hanged, instead it became the publicity that brought Hon. Chukwuma Michael Umeoji KSJI to full space and to headline major news and information blogs across Nigeria and other international microblobgs.

Till date, the party leadership is still neck deep in crisis which No one should be happy about.

I saw it earlier before anyone else, I aligned myself, strength and talent to be part of history, today, my decision and actions are vindicated.
