Baby Kamsi is Anambra first baby of the year
Baby Kamsi Eselu delivered at twenty four minutes past twelve midnight at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital Awka is the first baby of the year 2019.
The wife of the State Governor , Dr. Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano has described the first Baby of the Year 2019 as a precious gift to Ndi Anambra and Nigeria.
Mrs Obiano who was represented by the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue stated this during her visit to welcome the new born at the hospital in Awka.
Osodieme prayed for the health of the new born Kamsi, noting that he is a gift to Ndi Anambra and Nigerians and will grow from strength to strength.
She also congratulated mother of the baby, Mrs. Obiageli Eselu whom she described as Mother-of-the-Year for safe delivery as well as the management and staff of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital for job well done and for taking good care of the nursing mothers.
Confirming the delivery time of the Baby of the year, Head of Nursing at the Hospital, Mrs Felicia Ezeani said that the baby arrived at 12.24am weighing 3.2kg. She also thanked Osodieme for remembering the hospital and their patients early in the New year with various gift items.
Mother of the baby, Mrs Obiageli Eselu, thanked the wife of the Governor for visiting and donating to the upkeep of her new baby and disclosed that the baby is her first child.
