Archbishop Okeke Enjoys Easter With Inmates Of Correctional Center, Onitsha

Inmates of Correctional center Onitsha have been charged to have absolute Faith in God.

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province Most Reverend Valerian Okeke gave the charge while delivering a homily at the facility during an Easter Sunday service with the inmates.

The event attracted some friends of the facility including, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, represented by the Commissioner for Education Professor Ngozi Chuma-Ude, member representing Onitsha Constituency Two, Mr Edward Ibuzo, Director Catholic Women’s Organization Onitsha Archdiocese, the Controller Correctional Center in Anambra State Mr Patrick Chukwuemeka, among others.

Delivering a homily, Archbishop Okeke called on the inmates to always have faith in God, noting that with Him, their problems will be solved andcharged them to always channel their problems to Him.

In his remarks the Chaplain Onitsha Correctional Center, Reverend Father Bath Okpalugo, thanked Archbishop Okeke for his achievements in the facility, especially the ongoing Skill Acquisition center

He also extolled Governor Soludo for his giant strides in the State and called for support from Ndi Anambra.

Speaking to the ABS, the Commissioner for Education, Professor Chuma -Ude, said she was privileged to be part of the Mass to identify with the inmates and asked them to believe in God.

The Controller of Correctional center in Anambra State Mr Patrick Chukwuemeka, who appreciated Archbishop Okeke for remembering them asked God to continue to bless him.
