Archbishop Ibezim Charges mothers to promote morals, sanity in daily living

The Archbishop, Eccliastical Province Of The Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has charged women to promote morals,sanity and be vanguard of peace in the society.

Archbishop Ibezim stated this in his sermon at the Cathedral Church Of Saint Faith Awka to mark the Mother’s Sunday of the church which was themed ” the name of the lord is a strong tower.

Most Reverend Ibezim who is the bishop Anglican Diocese of Awka, urged Mothers to stand by God in times of challenges and advised them to understand that God do not disappoint in any situation.

He urged widows among mothers to hope in God for he is a great comforter and provider assuring that whatever that is of a burden to mothers is a burden to God.

Most Rev Ibezim decried that most women are easily swallowed by fear due to factors relating to family problems forgetting that God is by their side.

He further advised mothers to monitor movement of their children through prayers nothing that most mothers do not know the activities of their children in social media even as he said the young people have gone astray and it’s only prayers that can salvage them from bad life especially in the technology driven world.

Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim

While felicitating with mother’s, Special Adviser to the Governor on and Managing Director,State Oxygen Production Plant,Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim noted that mother’s are critical part of whatever they do and when they are isolated in a program, it’s bound to fail,encouraging them as they celebrate,they should get themselves vaccinated with the COVID-19 to stop the spread.

Earlier, the President Mother’s Union, Women’s Guild and Girls Guild,Province Of The Niger,Mrs Marter Ibezim while advising mother’s during the service, asked them not to be weary of earthly things but go deep in prayers in challenging whatever situation that is causing havoc in their lives.

The service was conducted by the wife of the Archdeacon, Cathedral Church Of Saint Faith Awka, Nneora Oluchukwu Okonkwo while display from the Girls Guild,special prayers for the mothers,state and nation added glamour to the service.

Highlight of the service was special Thanksgiving by the Anglican mothers as well as award of best couple of the year to Ven Emmanuel and Evang Comfort
Muotto in celebration of their 60 years of marriage.
