AOC Rescue Mission Foundation Distributes N1m Worth of hand sanitizers in Anambra

A non- governmental organization and charity group, Accord Of Charity Rescue Mission Foundation has distributed over one million naira worth of hand sanitizers to the people of Anambra state.

The distribution was in line with the mandate of the foundation which is to help and support poor masses and downtrodden in the society with regards to health safety especially in the period that coronavirus has wrecked havoc across the globe.

Recall that the intension of the organisation was made public in an earlier post in the group social Media platform by one the foundation’s member, Anthony Okoye popularly known as Amio, that the group would share hand sanitizer to the general public in response to the pandemic.

The foundation paid a visit to the Idemili Community Children’s Home, an Orphanage centre located at Umuoji where they donated gifts comprising of food items as well as other health safety materials of different kind to the children.

Again, the foundation carried out sensitization programme across different parts of the state including Ogbo Oye Onitsha and Nkwo Umuoji where they educated market men and women on the preventive measures to combat the deadly Coronavirus that has killed thousands worldwide.

The Foundation’s mission being sponsored by Charemon Golden Global distributed hand sanitizers to market men and women and charged them to take the case of coronavirus very serious as prevention is better than cure.

Speaking at the sensitization, a member of the youthful team, Jude Kelechi said that the foundation’s key interest is to improve the existence of humanity as well as promote healthy and meaningful living among the less privileged in the society.

He said that huge population of the masses do not have good access to health facilities while he also decried government’s insensitivity at not providing proper health care needs to the door steps of Nigerians especially those who cannot afford hospital bills.

Meanwhile, the sponsor and CEO Charemon Golden Global, Chinedu onwuadike in his brief address advised the participants to take their health very serious and avoid careless lifestyle that could subject life to danger.

Chinedu, an indigene of Umuoji reiterated that the foundation was only established to care for the well-being of needy adding that the the orphanage fall in the description. He said that the foundation deemed it fit to distribute the materials to help them protect themselves against the contagious virus that has killed many.

He assured that Charemon Golden Global through the foundation will continue with its mandate which is to positively impact lives of the less privileged and downtrodden in the society through their gifts and donations.

Reacting shortly after the sensitization, one of the beneficiaries who said he do not want his name on print acknowledged the efforts made by the AOC Rescue Mission Foundation to distribute the life saving materials to people who ordinarily may not be able to buy it due to financial constraints.

Another market woman who only gave her name as Elizabeth was full of praise for the gesture and support from the foundation while she also encouraged the organization to keep the momentum going in their humanitarian services to the poor and needy.

Acknowledging their presence at the Orphanage centre, mother of the Orphanage home whose name could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report prayed for the good lord to reward the foundation with the resources to do more.

She called on well meaning Nigerians, governmental and non- governmental organizations to borrow leaf from AOC Rescue Mission Foundation and donate useful materials to the orphanage home.
