The Executive Director of the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA), Dr. Nkem Okeke, has congratulated the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, on her selection for the Public Health Innovation Award at the Africa Future Leadership Conference and Awards 11.0.

The award ceremony is scheduled for November 20, 2026, at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Dr. Okeke described the recognition as an encouragement to stakeholders working to improve healthcare delivery, strengthen community-based programmes and enhance the well-being of citizens.

He commended Dr. Soludo’s health advocacy, particularly the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo initiative, for promoting healthier lifestyles and encouraging community participation in health interventions, including HIV awareness and prevention.

The ANSACA Executive Director emphasised the importance of sustained collaboration among government institutions, healthcare agencies, development partners and communities in expanding access to quality healthcare and improving health outcomes across Anambra State.

He reaffirmed ANSACA’s commitment to strengthening HIV prevention, testing, treatment and care services while ensuring that people living with HIV receive the support they need in an environment free from stigma and discrimination.

Dr. Okeke called on stakeholders to translate recognition and advocacy into sustained action by strengthening partnerships, supporting effective health programmes and extending essential services to underserved communities, stressing that collective responsibility is vital to building healthier communities and ensuring that every resident of Anambra State has access to the care and support needed to live a healthy life.
