ANAMBRA STATE TOWN UNION COUNCIL (ASTUC) WOMEN WING INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
The Executive Members of the Anambra State Town Union Council (ASTUC) Women Wing were today officially inaugurated at the Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, marking a significant step towards strengthening women’s participation in community development across the state.
Speaking during the inauguration, the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, congratulated the newly elected executives on their emergence and charged them to discharge their responsibilities with the fear of God, unity, transparency, diligence, and commitment. She emphasized that teamwork and selfless service would enable the association to achieve meaningful results and positively impact women across Anambra State.
Also addressing the gathering, the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, Barr. Vincent Ezeaka, congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and encouraged them to remain focused, united, and dedicated to advancing the objectives of the ASTUC Women Wing while supporting the development agenda of the state.

In her vote of thanks, the newly inaugurated President of the ASTUC Women Wing, Mrs. Blessings Ukamaka Unigwe, expressed profound appreciation to the Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs. Chinyere Esther Onyekesi, and the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, Barr. Vincent Ezeaka, for honouring the occasion with their presence and support. She also commended the Electoral Committee for conducting a successful and credible election process and pledged that the new executive would work diligently to justify the confidence reposed in them.
The inauguration concluded with a renewed commitment by the newly elected executives to promote unity, women’s empowerment, and grassroots development throughout Anambra State.
