Anambra Police Nab 32 Year Old Man For Defiling Minor

Anambra State Police have on Thursday arrested a 32 year old man who allegedly lured and raped a Seven years old girl in his rented apartment.

The Suspect, Chigbo Akpoluobi, a native of Asa village in Ohaji Egbema LGA of Imo State but resident at Obodukwu road Nkitaku,Okpoko was nabbed following a tip off by Police operatives attached to Okpoko police Division of the state.

Anambra state Police spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the report said police detectives who visited the scene has taken the victim to the hospital for medical examination.

While the suspect has voluntarily confessed to the offence, the Commissioner of Police CP John B. Abang has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal investigation Department, Awka for discreet investigation after which the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution.
