The former chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, Chief Ndubisi Nwobu, has identified the primary problem facing the party in the state as its so-called leaders of the party who collect bribe from opposition parties .
He made this statement yesterday in awka during the State PDP Unity Gala/ valedictory ceremony for the outgoing Caretaker Committee, and newly elected state executives of the party
He said“Anambra people love the PDP, and the only problem is that those who call themselves our leaders are going out to collect money from our opponents and working against the party,”
“The PDP is back in Anambra State to reclaim its rightful position. If you believe in the PDP, believe with one mind. We are now united, focused, and have purposeful, committed leaders to take the party to greater heights.
. “The PDP is now properly positioned to take over Anambra State,” he added.
He also pledged to support the new executives to the best of his ability to ensure the party regains leadership of the state.
“You must do everything possible to ensure that the PDP returns to the state as a winning party,” he emphasized.
However, he made it clear that anyone with intentions to destroy the party should leave, allowing only loyal members to remain and rebuild it.
The new elected Chairman of the party in Anambra State, Chidi Chidebe, thanked party members for electing them to lead the party’s affairs.
