Anambra: Onitsha Catholic Evangelization School To Honour Obi, Archbishop Okeke, Umeh, Moghalu, Nwoye, Others

The Trinitas School of Evangelization, Archdiocese of Onitsha in their resolve to continue to propagate the gospel through their evangelical work and selfless service, has concluded arrangement to bestow Meritorious and Excellent services awards to the ArchBishop of Onitsha, His Grace, Most Rev.Dr.Valerian Okeke, 2023 Labour Party Presidential candidate, Mt Peter Obi.
Others are, Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Victor Umeh, the Anambra State LP governorship Candidate, George Moghalu, All Progressive Congress, APC Anambra governorship candidate, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Sen. Tony Nwoye, representing Anambra North Senatorial district, Chief Val Ozigbo, Sen. Uche Ekwunife, Chief Johnbosco Onunkwo, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, among others.
The Coordinator/Director of the School, Rev.Father Anthony Igweagu, made this disclosure to newsmen stating that the honour is part of the activities lined up for the launch of its #500million for a permanent site of its own, billed for 11th October, this year.
Father Igweagu who was flanked by the launching committee members that include, Evang.Christian Nduagu-chairman planning Committee, Evang.Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme (AMBP-UN),Chief servant, Edwin Oragwuncha, Evang.Anthony Akunna, Evang.Christian Nwokolo and Evang.Dr.Helen Nwabundo, stressed the need to have a permanent site of their own revealing that for 33 years they have been on rented apartment.
According to him, The epoch making event will be used to thank God tremendously for sustaining, guiding and guarding the School since its 33 years of existence and prayed for the success of the event and God’s tremendous blessings upon the Lecturers, Students and benefactors.
Evang.Christian Nduagu who is the chairman of Organizing Committee said that the event would be an avenue to commission new Evangelizers/ Matriculation of new students and Launching of fund for building of permanent school site, Evangelism Bus, Musical Instruments and Generator.

“The event will be under the distinguished Chairmanship of Chief Engr.Johnbosco Onunkwo and it will commence with Pontifical Mass by His Grace, Most Rev Valerian Maduka Okeke at All Hallows Seminary Onitsha on Saturday 11th October 2025 by 10am,” he stated.
The Chairman of Award Committee, Evang. Com.Vincent Ezekwueme , said that the event would be used to bestow meritorious services awards to some distinguished Nigerians in appreciation of their selfless services and sacrifices towards preaching and spreading the gospel, love, empathy for humanity, humanitarian disposition and belief that “One has not lived unless he lives for others.
“Some of the award recipients include, Archbishop Valerian Okeke, as Chief Shepherd, Mr.Peter Obi, Chief Dr.Sir Innocent Chukwumah, Chief George Moghalu, Barr.Sly Ezeokenwa, Hon.Val Ozigbo, Senator Dr.Victor Umeh, Senator Dr.Tony Nwoye, ACP Chidi Nzota, ACP Rabiu Garba, among otbers,” he stated.
Evang.Edwin Oragwuncha stated that every arrangement has been made to ensure hitch free, successful and spirit filled event.
“The climax of the event will be bestowing of meritorious services awards to some distinguished Nigerians and keynote Lecture themed, “Citizens Active Participation In Democratic Process,” by Evangelist Comrade Vincent Ezekwueme AMBP-UN.
