Anambra Govt. Urges Tertiary Institutions To Embrace Ethical Values

The Anambra state government has enjoined higher institutions across the state to strive to inculcate appropriate moral and ethical values in students.
The commissioner for tertiary education, Science and Technology, Mrs Sally Mbanefo advised while addressing matriculating students of the Anambra state polytechnic, Mgbakwu, Awka North local government area.

Represented by a Director in the ministry, Mrs Oyibo Alor the commissioner described education as the driving engine for growth and social development of any nation.

The Commissioner for Tertiary education said in every society,education enhance and broadens the intellectual horizon of the citizenry.
She noted that education help to advance new ideas, support enduring knowledge and values among undergraduates.

According to her, it is important that the students are taught and groomed up properly to become responsible conscious and proactive citizens.
Mrs Sally Mbanefo therefore expressed the hope that the 4th and 5th Matriculation of the Polytechnic, will be a turning point for the institution even as she commended the management and parents for their interest in education.


In an interview, the Public Relations Officer of the Institution, Comrade Chukwuanu Okagbue advised the students to be mindful of how they dress especially the female ones, as they have now become ambassadors of the institution.
