Anambra Government Holds Meeting With Members Of Creative Industry In The State
Creatives in the state have been charged to form a formidable force that would provide needed services in the industry to boost Anambra’s creative economy.
The state Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, made the call during the first ever round table meeting convoked by the Anambra State Government to ensure that all the energy in the industry are harnessed to touch lives softly in a sweet way, since Governor Chukwuma Soludo is passionate about developing the sector for the good of the creatives and that of the populace.
According to Comrade Onyenji, the first ever Anambra Creative Week will soon hold; where all the artists, content creators, broadcasters, DJs, Musicians, actors and actresses, among others, would gather and stage a show for themselves and others, recalling that the opening of Solution Fun City during which Governor Soludo invited so many artists was one way he has shown that he valued their talents and is ready to give them opportunity to shine.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the ABS, Mr Chris Molokwu, who noted that before now, people see artists as unserious people, noted that there has been turn of events where they are now needed, and frowned at the manner with which they paint Anambra black and blow issues out of proportion, thereby giving the state a negative status around the world, which he said dwindles chances of people coming into the state for business and relaxation.
Mr Molokwu charged them to use their power to project the state and all the good works of Governor Soludo, expressing happiness that Anambra has a lot of quality people in the industry.
Others who spoke at the event, including the President of ANAWOOD, Mrs Chinyere Okonmah, all applauded state government for the move and supported the call for synergy among them.
