Anambra CP Bags Public Safety Award, Assures Enormous Commitment To Serving To Humanity

The Commissioner of Police in Anambra CP Aderemi Adeoye says the Command will not let down it’s guards in ensuring that the prevailing security in the state is sustained.

Adeoye said this after receiving an Award For Security Architecture with special prayers from the Association of Past and Present Presidents General of Anambra Communities in Awka

Other honourees were Chief Peter Umeadi, former Chief Justice of Anambra, Sen. Victor Umeh, Chief Emeka Okwosa among others.

Adeoye said the award was very special to him and that he was humbled that Anambra people as represented by past and present community leaders acknowledged the effort of security agencies and honored him.

He dedicated the award to all sister security agencies in Anambra and applauded the collaboration between them and the communities through the vigilance services

“I feel humbled and gratified that the association of past and present presidents general of about 179 communities considered as found me worthy for an award of recognition on security architecture.

“I cherish this award because it validates the modest efforts that Anambra Police Command is making in synergy with all security agencies which I incidentally coordinate.

“This award is not just for me but for all security services and the communities which we have enjoyed robust partnership with, so this award is one from the people, not elitist but people oriented,” he said.

Adeoye said security was a crucial factor of development as it enabled people to plan and execute their programmes with certainty while assuring that his Command would continue to see security as a duty to the people and not a favour.

Also speaking, Chief Damian Okeke, National Vice President of Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo congratulated the awardees and thanked them for their contributions to the development of Anambra.

Okeke who was Installed as Grand Patron of the association said the would continue to encourage worthy individuals by recognising them as the real representative of the grassroots.

On his part. Mr Uche Onyilofor, the chairman of the occasion commended the members and guests for their massive participation.
