The Youth Advocates For Peace Justice And Empowerment Network (YAPJEN) has called on security agencies saddled with the enforcement of COVID19 total lockdown in Anambra State to be professional in the discharge of their duties.

YAPJEN through an online press release made by its National President, Amb Timothy Nwachukwu in Awka, advised against indiscriminate use of force by the security agencies in carrying out the enforcement order.

YAPJEN decried the alleging shooting and killing of some citizens by the security agencies in Ebonyi and Delta State while carrying out the enforcement order and further called on their Anambra State Counterpart to be civil in their approach and dealings with the people.

Amb Timothy Nwachukwu reminded the security agencies that the enforcement order is not a window to show brute of force against the citizens.

Yapjen expressed serious concern over the conduct of security agencies who collects bribe from the citizens at every roadblocks who are flouting the directives of the state government.

The group specifically noted that security agents at Aroma Jucntion Awka, Kwata bridge, Amawbia Nise Road and other locations where reported to be seen demanding money and allowing motorist to pass contrary to the directives of the State government.

The group lamented that such act is capable of eroding the proposed gain which the lockdown is expected to have as all that is needed for any motorists who may have the virus is to give money and go through each of the road block.

YAPJEN observed that security agencies stationed to enforce the order were seen not wearing face mask, hand gloves or ppc.

YAPJEN therefore call on the state government and the leadership of the security agencies to provide protective materials to the security agents who are endangering their lives by enforcing the lockdown order without protective devices.

YAPJEN equally called on the residents to observe the stay at home, stay safe order for the interest of the lives, family and the state in general and to avoid the spread of the pandemic as the state government intensifies its efforts in contact tracing of the index case in Anambra.

  2. With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any methods to help protect against content from being stolen? I’d genuinely appreciate it.
