Anambra Assembly Confirms Uwaeme As Executive Secretary Of Health Insurance Agency
The Anambra State House of Assembly has confirmed Dr. Ezeaka Uwaeme as the Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA) during today’s plenary session.
The Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, during the confirmation, said that the state expects dedication and commitment from the new Executive Secretary, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver on the mandate of the agency.
The Speaker stressed the need for effective partnership between the agency and the State Assembly, noting that the agency remains the hope of the common people and the elderly in the state.
He further emphasized that registered beneficiaries under the health insurance scheme should be adequately cared for in hospitals across the state.
Responding, Dr. Uwaeme thanked the House for the confidence reposed in him and assured the lawmakers that he would do his best to ensure that Anambra indigenes benefit adequately from the health insurance scheme.
