ALOR: 3 Governors, 8 Bishops, 500 Priests, 200 Traditional Rulers, 100 Captains Of Industry, Others Set For Alor To Bury Igwe Alor’s Father Late Chief Okonkwo
Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State among other Governors, and government officials will be expected to witness the burial ceremony of Late Chief Bartholomew Chukwuma Okonkwo, father of the traditional ruler of Alor, Igwe Mac-Anthony Chinedu Elibe Okonkwo, Ezedioramma 11 of Alor at Alor, Idemmili South Anambra State on Tuesday 14th April, 2026.

Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State among other Governors, and government officials will be expected to witness the burial ceremony of Late Chief Bartholomew Chukwuma Okonkwo, father of the traditional ruler of Alor, Igwe Mac-Anthony Chinedu Elibe Okonkwo, Ezedioramma 11 of Alor at Alor, Idemmili South Anambra State on Tuesday 14th April, 2026.
As well, expected to attend the funeral ceremony, are about 8 Bishops, about four from the Roman Catholic Church, two from Anglican Church and two from the Pentecostal church as well as over five hundred Reverend fathers among other ordained men of God and sisters.over two hundred (200) traditional rulers across the federation and over hundred (100) Captains of industry will also be expected to pay their last respect to the father of their colleague, Igwe Okonkwo.
This is coming as the royal family of Chief Bartholomew Chukwuma Okonkwo of Umuokwu Village, Alor, Idemili LGA, Anambra State, announces the burial arrangements of their beloved patriarch, Late High Chief Bartholomew Chukwuma Okonkwo (Ugo Nwokebeluibie na Alor)
Burial Arrangement stipulates that on;
– Monday, 13th April 2026 – Vigil Mass at his compound in Umuokwu Village, Alor.
– Tuesday, 14th April 2026 – Body departs Borromeo Mortuary for lying-in-state at his compound by 6:00 am. Burial Mass follows at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Umuokwu Village, Alor at 10:00 am.
– Wednesday, 15th April 2026– Condolences and reception of guests, relatives, in-laws, friends, and well-wishers.
– Sunday, 19th April 2026– Thanksgiving Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Umuokwu Village, Alor at 9:00 am.
Late High Chief Okonkwo, fondly remembered as Ugo Nwokebeluibie, is survived by his siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members, who continue to honor his legacy of wisdom and leadership.
HRH Igwe Mac Anthony Chinedu Elibe Okonkwo, Ezedioramma II of Alor,calls upon all sons and daughters of Alor, friends, and associates to join the family in paying their last respects to the distinguished late High Chief.
According to Chief Frank Okafor , Ichie Igwulube Idemmili North and South on behalf of a
special committee constituted for the burial ceremony has pledged it’s unwavering support and prayers for Igwe Mac Anthony and the Royal Family during this period. They have also urged everyone connected to the family to remember them in their thoughts and prayers, reflecting the spirit of unity and solidarity that defines the community.
