AIT Bureau Chief, Dr Ethel Obiakor, 136 Anglicans invested into Knight of St Christopher at Onitsha

African Independent Television (AIT) Bureau Chief in Asaba Delta state, Dr Lady Ebere Ethel Obiakor was among the One hundred and thirty seven (137) people invested into the order of Knights and Lady Knights of St. Christopher by the Bishop on the Niger, His Lordship Rt Rev. Dr. Owen Nwokolo at All Saints Cathedral Onitsha Anambra state. informs that of the One hundred and thirty-seven novices invested into the knighthood, there were five Dames.

The candidates for the
Knighthood after presentation and examination by the Bishop took oath
of allegiance to God.

In a sermon, titled’ Knights, The Mighty Men of Church’, Bishop
Nwokolo said Knights are known by their life styles, dispositions and
actions stressing that what one does for the church, qualifies him/her
for the position of Knighthood.

The Bishop told the new Knights that their investiture is a call to duty in the church of God, charging them to always emulate the life of
Saint Christopher and the Biblical David and his soldiers, who laid
their lives for Christ.

Speaking after the ceremony , one of the new lady knights, Dr Lady Ethel Ebere Obiakor expressed
happiness at the investiture and promised to work harder for the church. reports that presentation of the Scroll, the Sword of Spirit to the Knights,
signing of oath and pledge to the Chancellor of the Diocese on the
Niger featured during the investiture that attracted personalities
from all walks of life including personalities from the Media in solidarity to Dr Lady Obiakor.
