One of the Imo Airlines commissioned by the former Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha was spotted abandoned at a bushy part in Owerri, the state capital.

The abandoned commercial airline known as Imo Air was reportedly seen rotting away at Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri. This monumental aircraft operated by Dana Air can conveniently airlift 140 passengers.

This aircraft alongside others were launched in January 2017 by the Rochas Okorocha led Imo State government in partnership with Dana Air. The deal was said to be a 10-year partnership agreed and signed by both parties.

However, four years later—the aircraft purchased with taxpayers money had been left to ruin by the authorities in charge. The aircraft was meant to increase the state revenue base and help in creating jobs for the residents of Imo State.
