A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, has reiterated claims that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) was financing Boko Haram, ISWAP, and other terrorist groups.

In a video posted on his X page, Garba questioned how USAID spent $824 million in Nigeria last year, alleging that the funds were used to procure weapons for insurgents.

His comments align with Pennsylvanian Republican lawmaker Scott Perry, who recently accused USAID of funneling $697 million to Boko Haram, ISIS, and Al-Qaeda. During a session titled “The War on Waste: Stamping Out the Scourge of Improper Payments and Fraud,” Perry also claimed that there were no records of USAID using $136 million for school construction projects in Pakistan.

Garba insisted that foreign entities were covertly supplying arms to terrorists, citing Perry’s remarks as further proof.

He stated:
USAID’s $824 million expenditure in Nigeria remains unaccounted for.
If converted, the amount equals N1.3 trillion, which could have significantly benefited Nigerian states.
Alleged USAID funding is fueling terrorist activities and kidnappings in Nigeria.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s actions are exposing global corruption that affects Africa.
More revelations about African elites collaborating with criminals will soon emerge.

Garba expressed optimism that terrorism in Africa is declining, adding that Nigeria and the continent will reclaim their security and future from external influences.
