AASPPMED/NAPPMED Inaugurates Anambra Exco, pledges to fish out fake drugs dealers

Association of Aambra State Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers/Nigerian Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (AASPPMED/NAPPMED) has pledged to join the fight against fake and unwholesome drugs.

The association reiterated its preparedness to strengthen the cordial relationship existing between the state government and other lifesaving professionals within the medical profession.

President of the association,
Elder Benjamin Nnanna disclosed this in his acceptance speech shortly after the State executive inauguration at Ekwulobia,Aguata Local Government Area by Barrister Ndubisi Joel Osuke.

According to Nnanna, although the relationship between the union, the state government and others in the medical profession had been cordial, we would strengthen the existing one to enhance efficiency in medical practice.

Elder Nnanna maintained that the implicit confidence reposed on him by the members, which made them to elect him almost unopposed pledged to erect a befitting State Secretariat for the association three years into his tenure.

” The association’s task force members will fish out medical quacks operating in the state to help rid the state from those dealing on fake, expired, adulterated and unwholesome drugs thereby sanitizing the system,” said Nnanna.

The AAPPSMED/NAPPMED Anambra State chapter officers include President- Elder Benjamin Nnanna, Secretary-Chief Chiedozie Mbonu, 1st Vice President (VP)- Comrade Jude Okeke, 2nd VP-Martin Igbonekwu, 3rd VP-Emeka Dim, Asst Sec-Innocent Okeke, Treasurer-Emmanuel Ike, PRO-Humphrey Ahamefula, Special Adviser-Okwudili Eze, Financial Sec-Ebenezer Chibuzor

Others are Provost 1-Ifeanyi Ogbu, Provost 2-Nnamdi Ogbonna, Provost 3-Charity Anaso, Patron 1-Chief Azaka, Patron 2-Chief Val Ifemeje, Patron 3-Emeka Olue, Taskforce Chairman-Jude Okoli, Taskforce Secretary-Calister Tagbo, Trustee 1-Bathlomew Okeke, Trustee 2-Ekene Edigbue, Trustee 3-Ugochukwu Eze.

The new boss further advised people to avoid buying cheap and substandard drugs hawked by quacks who woo unsuspecting members of the public to attract more patronage because it could be dangerous to their health or body systems(MOI)
