The former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to Leader of the House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila’s (APC-Lagos) declaration to run for the office of the speaker of the Ninth assembly.
Odogwublog.com reports that Gbajabiamila, in company of 170 members-elect, made his intention known on Sunday in Abuja.
Gbajabiamila said he was in the race to unite the nation and bring good governance closer to the people.
If elected speaker, Gbajabiamila said that he would galvanise the lawmakers to make life more abundant for all Nigerians.
Reacting to Gbajabiamila’s decision to run, Fani-Kayode on his Twitter page said the House of Reps leader will make a good speaker.
“I have known Femi Gbajabiamila for 40 years and I can assure you that he will make a great Speaker of the Fed. House of Representatives.
“We may disagree politically but I must confess that he is a profoundly good man representing a great constituency. I wish him well.” He added.
