As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 2027 election, Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, has on Sept 30, called for purposeful leadership, accountable governance and greater national unity.
Nwankwo made the call in his Independence Day message titled “A Greater Nigeria Is Possible,” in which he said the country remained endowed with significant human potential, natural resources and opportunities despite the challenges confronting it.
He stressed that building a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria required effective institutions and a renewed commitment to unity, equity and shared prosperity.
According to him, Nigerians must rise above ethnic, religious and regional differences and work collectively towards a nation where every citizen has equal opportunities to realise their potential.
Nwankwo also described nation-building as a collective responsibility, urging leaders to govern with integrity and citizens to uphold their civic responsibilities while demanding accountability from those in positions of authority.
He called on Nigerians to use the 66th Independence Anniversary as an opportunity to renew their commitment to building a united, prosperous and inclusive nation capable of providing a better future for generations to come.
