3 cultists die from gun war in Rivers community

Rivers State Police Command has substantiated the killing of three suspected cultists in Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.

According to the police, the cultists died during a gun duel following a supremacy battle between the rival groups.

The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the killings, said two of the dead cultists identified as Azhinibudu Biko popularly known as Yankee and Gboka Odoi were notorious criminals terrorizing the Ahoada East and West section of the road and its environment.

A source in the community, who pleaded anonymity, confided to Odogwublog.com that the Police interfered, as the shooting caused panic in the area.

He also disclosed that there is an increase of Police patrols in and around Ahoada.
