2023: We Stands For Candidates Of Isu, Njaba Extractions Ohuruzo Assures Political Parties

Ahead of 2023 general polls and been disturbed by what they described as years of marginalization and gross injustice, in the representations of Isu/Njaba/Nkwerre/Nwangele Federal Constituency of Imo State in the House of Representatives of the national assembly, Chief Christopher Ohuruzo, Ishi Nmiri Njaba has asked political parties in Nigeria to field only candidates of Isu and Njaba extractions or risk loosing all the elections in the federal constituency.
Ishi Nmiri disclosed this yesterday (Sunday) while addressing Journalists shortly after the end of the well attended meeting of political leaders of Isu/Njaba council areas held in his ancestral country home, Amucha in Njaba council area of Imo State.
According to him “our brothers from Nkwerre and Nwangele local government areas have abused our peaceful dispositions and patience. They feel we are politically naive and therefore, takes us for granted. Can you imagine that since 1999 till date, our common political patrimony, that’s Federal House of Representatives has become a common property of people from Nkwerre and Nwangele council areas ? This is conservatively more than 24 years. Moreso, this is practically against the local government areas political Charter of Equity that dwells and demands rotatory among the 4 council areas.
Obviously, this is a great injustice,an insult to equity and natural justice, and a total rape to democracy. Thus, our vehement resolution, endorsed by all and sundry including our ancestors that come 2023 any political party that mistakenly fielded candidate for the Federal Constituency outside Isu and Njaba extraction, will certainly regret their action, and pay dearly for the elections. To be fore warned is to be fore harm. Enough is Enough !!, Equity demands enye ndi ebea, enye ndi ebea, okezuo ogbu alaaa!!!!!” he advised.
The political icon gave a statistical data of representation of the area since 1999 till date, which he christened FACTS OF THE MATTER; According to him, from 1999-2003, Hon. C.C. Osuala ( Nwangele), 2003-2007, Hon. Chidi Nwaorgu (Nkwerre), 2007-2011, Hon.Mrs. Juliet Akano-Obasi, (Nwangele), 2011-2019, Hon. Jones Onyereri( Nkwerre), 2019- 2023 Hon. Ugonna Ozirigbo (Nwangele).
He lamented that from the historical facts no body from Isu nor Njaba have ever been elected or nominated into the political position been shared by the four local government areas, despite their positions as the pilot council areas with the highest populations.
The political godfather bluntly said that they’re sending the warning now using all the necessary medium of communications, as the political parties are about conducting their primaries as being directed by INEC so that no political party in Nigeria will say that they are unaware.
Ohuruzo insisted that the people of the two local government areas are tired of betrayal of trust and confidence by their brothers from Nkwerre and Nwangele, thus, they have unanimously resolved to take their destiny in their hands in 2023 insisting that history and posterity will vindicate them.
