2023: Obiano’s Former Aide Picks State House of Assembly Form

Ahead of the 2023 general election, former Senior Special Assistant to former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano on Secondary School Monitoring, Hon. Dame Chinyere Mbakwe has picked nomination form to contest State House of Assembly for Aguata Constituency 1.
Hon. Dame was led by various groups comprising women, youths and some Aguata APGA party stalwarts to All Progressive Grand Alliance ( APGA) Secretariat office Abuja to pick form. She expressed gratitude to all her supporters who, she said, sacrificed their daily activities in support her.
She specifically rained encomiums on stakeholders in Aguata Constituency 1 who she said made her summon courage to move ahead in picking nomination form to contest for the State House Of Assembly seat.
She revealed that her main motive for contesting the State House of Assembly seat was due to the extent her Constituency had lagged in terms of development and explained that she sees herself fit for the position to attract the required development.
” We had been neglected in dividend of democracy because we have not had radical representation. This time, we will try women and I want to occupy the position to bring radical changes in Aguata constituency 1. As a mother, I know what my constituency needs and how to bring it to them. If my constituency could give me mandate, I would definitely bring their fare shares of democracy dividend”
The soft spoken School proprietor further recounted a lot of her achievements which she said gave her impetus to contest for the seat of State House of Assembly in her Constituency.
” When I was the Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano on the Secondary School monitoring, I offered a lot of assistance to Girls Secondary School Achina, now Community Secondary School Achina which was on dilapidated stage.
I initiated total rehabilitation of the School by building standard toilet facilities in synergy with Mr. Alison Benji Onyekaba Esq who later completed it, through my influence, former Governor Obiano built School Hall and Examination Hall for the School which the then commissioner for basic Education, Professor Kate Azuka Omenugha commissioned.
I also thought it wisely to consolidate all my efforts in my constituency as a legacies like someone who was in government by building principals and corpers lodge and employed competent and vibrant Principal in the same Community Secondary School Achina who would be giving me update about the progress of the school.
” Infacts, I am a type that brings in good thing which I see outside for my people to benefits. I love seeing others who are around me feeling happy. I reach out to people with goodies and I am a type who derives joy in providing and assisting to others”
Dame Mbakwe added that she donated 2 pairs of 500KVA transformers to two communities in Ogbaru LGA, a place where she domiciles, sponsored School fees and WASCE Examination fees for numerous students as well as organised leadership seminar single handedly to all Principals in public, Missionary and Private Schools in Anambra State with her salary without waiting for government to raise funds.
” Assisting people is my hobby. I don’t believe that I would live on Earth without touching people’s lives. So, I will not disappoint my constituency if they could give me their supports and votes. It is a mission to accomplish with fear of God and services to humanity”
