18 year old bites off finger of a man for eyeing his mother
A man in Adamawa State had the tip of one of his fingers bitten off by a furious teenager who accused him of staring at his mother.
Aliyu Adamu, 18, has confessed to his aggression against 50-year-old Yautai Adamu for allegedly looking at his 40-year-old mother.
The boy, his mother and the victim are all from Mairawani in Jambutu, Yola North LGA.
Odogwublog learnt that the prey was on his way out of his apartment on Sunday, December 4, when he ran into Aliyu Adamu and his mother.
When Aliyu, turning round and noticing Yautai staring at his mother, challenged the middle-aged man and without waiting for any answer, rained insults on him, leading to physical exchanges that resulted in him biting off the tip of Yautai’s right forefinger.
Adamu was subsequently charged before the Jimeta Area Court II in Yola North on a three-count that include assault and causing grievous harm.
According to the Police prosecutor, Corporal Ismail Mohammed, the offences to which the defendant had pleaded guilty, contravened sections 240, 241 and 217 of the Penal Code.
Following the defendant’s guilty plea at the court presided over by Hon Muhammad Lamurde, he has been remanded in prison and the case adjourned to January 3, 2023, for trial.
