100 Days in office:  ONICCIMA extols Soludo, urges him to tackle bad roads, roadblocks, menace of touts

The Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ONICCIMA) has extolled the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on his performance in first hundred days in office.

In a paper signed by the group’s president,Chief Kevin Obieri, the chamber acknowledged the efforts of the State Government despite some challenges which they said the administration has not broken strides in tackling and providing workable solutions for the benefit of all. 

They listed Roads, Roadblocks, Traffic offences, and Menace of touts as what they observed as the critical areas which they said if properly taken care of would go a long way in alleviating the discomfort currently being experienced by Ndi Anambra.

They, however, stated that they are the voice of the organized  private sector (OPS), adding that are committed to their core function which according to them  were policy advocacy and enlightenment on issues of interests for not only the organised private sector (OPS) but the general public respectively.

“We have continually reiterated that for any progress to be made in the society, stakeholders in both private and public sector must strive to build consensus on issues. Focusing on key areas of interest and offering suggestions, the Chamber is able to propose solutions that would help to shape policy directions for the State Government” They noted!

They equally recalled that they have continually advocates the importance of having a river port in the south East to take care of the impediments experienced by Southeast businesses.

They expressed delight that a concessionaire has been appointed and lauded General Mohammadu Buhari Rtd, Governor Charles Soludo and Managing Director National Inland Waterway Authority, Chief George Moghalu for the recent public-private concession of the Onitsha River Port.
