Yuletide : Al-Makura weeps at Late APC chairman’s family

The immediate past Governor of Nasarawa state,who is now senator , representing the southern senatorial zone in the state,Dr Umaru Tanko Al-Makura literally wept on Sunday when he paid an unexpected visit to the family of the late Philip Tatare Shekwo,one month after he was murdered.

Senator Al-Makura whose visit to the family rekindled love, and care to the widow and family.

Senator Al-Makura along his entourage were received by the deceased wife,children and other relatives

It would be recalled that Late Philip Shekwo was abducted and later killed near his residence in Lafia last month.

According to him” We will not leave you alone,but continue to support you and care for you,at all times.

” It is my warmest prayer for you all that God will continue to show his mercies upon you and comfort you throughout,even as our late chairman continue to rest in peace with the Lord.

” We are greatly heartbroken by his death,this is because he was not sick or that he was involved in an accident.But there is nothing we will say than to continue to plead with you to bear it and be comforted” Al-Makura said.

Senator Al-Makura also posited that being part and percel of the late APC chairman’s family,friends and well wishes, his visit to the family ,apart from consoling them was to ensure that they lack nothing for the Christmas celebration.

Although he did not disclosed his gift to the family,he reiterated that he will continue to ensure that the family is comfortable,which is simply because of how peaceful,modest and loyal Mr Philip Shekwo had lived his life.

Thanking the senator on behalf of the family,Mr Yarus Darusa, said the family remains indebted to the senator for his show of love,even as he prayed that God protect and replenish him for his gifts to the family even as he prayed for increased wisdom.
