The President of South East Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Chief Humphrey Ngonadi have advised Youths to engage themselves meaningfully in something, stressing that everyone cannot be employed through a white-collar job.

He also advised Parents to encourage their Children to start something, no matter how small, fishery, poultry, piggery, brick laying, tiling etc

Chief Ngonadi, the Chief Executive Officer of Ngobros Company and the Vice National Chairman, National Association of Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) gave this advice in his office at Nnewi while reacting to the unemployment in the Country.

“Most of the Youths when they came out of the University, they will be carrying files, being feeding by their parents who have suffered to train them through the university, create jobs by yourself, by starting small, God will multiply it.

”The challenges we have is spending more than our income, when you start small something, be careful with your spending, cut your cloth according to the cloth, manage what you have and made reserve for tomorrow.

“Today, to get a bricklayer to build a house, he is not a Nigerian, to get a good designer in tiling, it is our neighbours from other African Countries, nobody here want to be a mechanic, time is coming when mechanics will charge you in hours to service your cars.

“When God made Adam in the garden of Eden, he got everything ready for Adam to live but he said, work for it, which means if Adam did not work for it, these things will disappear.

”Working hard with these things God get ready, we would be successful, actually it is God’s desire that we will prosper as he told the people of Israel, when you get to promise land, when you will begin to prosper, remember that it is I, your God that made you to prosper, that it is the promise I made to your Father, Abraham.

“We have to work it out by being diligent, committed, you can’t use your time to be sleeping and expected to prosper.

“It is the duty of the government to provide jobs for the Youths by supporting organised private sectors, farms, then employed youths can absorb, but the government of today, more especially government agencies, are not in any way helping the organised private sectors to succeed.

“There are much unnecessary spending these agencies are doing, indirectly it is the government that they are killing because of excess Money they demand from them.

“The Church can also help, because our youths go to churches, let them preach it in Churches, that it is necessary for one to meaningfully engage his or herself and avoid idleness or quick rich syndrome, Saint Paul also said it in the bible that ”If you don’t work, don’t eat”.
