Young Girls Tasked On Contentment, Embracing Moral Values

Due to moral decadence in today’s society, series of lecture and training have been organized by organizations to expose the girl-child on how to guard and guide self so as to achieve greater heights in their various fields and better the society.

Such organizations was the Beacon of Hope Outreach, BOHO, which, in collaboration with Honourable and Mrs Arthur Okechukwu Nwobi, organized ‘Caring of girl child – girls initiative and No girl is left behind ‘ aimed at ensuring the educational advancement of young girls and adolescents to create better outcomes pertaining to health and wellness.

Welcoming the team at Saint Michel and All Angels Anglican Church, Nawfia, venue of the event, the Archdeacon, Nawfia Archdeconry and Vicar of the church, Venerable Dr. Onyinyechukwu, extolled the convener for the idea of reaching out to young girls in exposing them to what they need to do in today’s society were everything has lost it values, stating that it also a think home philosophy to invest and build women who are salt of the earth charging the young girls to be resilient, focused and hard work as well as make prayers and studying of bible their watchword.

The Coordinator of Beacon of Hope Outreach, Lady Celestina Ekezie, noted that BOHO is a non governmental organization that extends helping hands to many in the society, especially empowerment of the pre- adolescent and adolescent girls within underserved communities through health, education and provision of necessary resources to maintain good personal hygiene and healthy lifestyle as they grow into womanhood.

Taking the young girls on healthy tips for life, Dr Nwando Ekezie; of BOHO, demonstrated how best to brush their mouth followed by regular hand washing and proper way to guard self through menstrual period, and what to do when in pains, feeling menstrual cramps, heavy flow and above all; how to maintained hygiene during menstrual period.
