YESS Anambra Fetes Winners Of The Indoor Sports Tournament

The leadership and Organizers of the just concluded YESS Anambra Indoor Sports tournament has, doled out monetary rewards to Winners of various categories of the historic sports event.

The official presentation of the cheque was performed by the Secretary of YESS Anambra, Mr Chukwuka Nwankwo in the company of other top executives of the association.

Speaking to the participants at the presentation, the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee of the Sports Tournament, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, stressed the importance of the game as a uniting factor for YESS Anambra membership. He further appreciated all that contributed to the success of the event, urging them to prepare for much higher responsibilities.

The Convener of YESS Anambra, Dr Nelson Omenugha, in his final submission, reiterated the need for members to imbibe the YESS Stakeholding Philosophy. To this end, he stated clearly that the purpose of the game was to deepen the relationship amongst YESS Anambra members and not necessarily to make money. He charged the participants to consolidate on the gains of the tournament by striving for excellence in the mastery of their preferred sports as this is the one true way to be a “Soludo Apostle”. He thanked YESS benefactors and wished the members and Ndi Anambra a fruitful Christmas celebration and prosperous new year.

The cheque was received by Mr Chukwuebuka Onuorah on behalf of the winners.
