The World Bank is set to consider Nigeria’s new $1 billion Development Policy Financing loan on December 16, aimed at supporting economic reforms, job creation, and private investment.

The facility—split into a $500 million IDA credit and a $500 million IBRD loan—is part of the Nigeria Actions for Investment and Jobs Acceleration initiative under President Tinubu’s reform agenda.

If approved, the funds will be disbursed in two tranches to boost access to credit, expand digital services, and strengthen inclusive growth.
