Women In Real Estate, WIRE, Global Holds Second Conference

Women in Real Estate (WIRE) Global has held her annual conference with theme, “Emerge : piloting your wheel”, at Best Western Hotel, Awka.

The global conference was convened by Kassy Nwamara on Saturday 25th May, 2024 at exactly 7:00 am.

WIRE is an association formed by Mrs Kassy Nwamara, the Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO),Homeland group. The association was set up primarily for the purpose of collectively paving way for a more equitable and inclusive future for women in the real estate industry which seem to be saturated.

The conference which is the second of it’s kind was graced by notable women in the society including Hon. Justice Mabel Bello, Betty Irabor, Tope Mark-Odigie, Chioma Ifeanyi Eze , Wendy Emesie among others.

A citation of the convener was read, having written her name in the sands of time in the real estate industry while working as a staff with PWAN Group of companies, leading to the establishment of her own company. In her quest to empower women who are often taken advantage of while prospecting clients led to the formation of WIRE global network.

A philanthropist per excellence who has displayed this through the formation of the ‘Been There’ foundation which offers scholarships to indigent students and provide basic necessities to destitutes.
The key note speaker, Mrs Betty Irabor ,a fashion icon and one of Nigeria’s greatest prolific publishers and the founder of the Genevieve magazine spoke emphatically on ‘Self Awareness and Authenticity in Entrepreneurial leadership: How they Drive Success”.

She said that there is need to be intentional in everything one does including the number of children to bring to life ,as bringing them forth is not only about finances but also about the mental capacity to stick around in days of trouble .
Self awareness she said is very essential for every women , as a woman ought to know of power she wields and as such should try to improve her self worth using her life experiences as example.

Effective Management Strategies for Business Growth , how to get money knowledge ,revenue management ,cash flow management ,debt management and investment management were examined by Mrs Chioma Ifeanyi Eze, a success coach, social media influencer and a renowned business woman. Life isn’t only about making money but also growing money. Make sure you never have too much money in hand, grow your business to the point that it becomes other people’s money (OPM).

Mrs Tope Mark Odigie, a wealth and investment coach examined ‘Sales Strategies and Brand Positioning for Success in Real Estate. She admonished women to be resolute in all they did , as they are creators while enjoining them to surround themselves with good people who would help them become nation builders.

The event also featured a panel discussion which was based on sustainable business practices : implementing systems for work-life ,and long term success in real estate consulting and business in general, during which gurus in the business where asked series of questions ,the likes of Chibuzor Doris( the land Empress ),Wendy Emesie, and Chisom Anerobi. Certificates were also distributed to participants of the conference.
It was really a worthwhile event which enabled women to network with others who were already making waves in the industry.
