Anambra state police command has assured that the case of a 25-year-old woman arrested for alleged murder of her house help in Nkpor, Idemili North local government area of the state would not be swept under the carpet.
The police public relations officer, Haruna Mohammed while addressing newsmen on Thursday at the State CID, said the assurance followed social media reports accusing the Police of compromise on the matter.

He said, “I want to debunk the social media report that police is trying to compromise a case of alleged murder against one Mmesoma Okafor, 25years old of Nkpor, Idemili North local government Area of Anambra state.

She said, “I didn’t toture her, she was already tortured before she was brought to me. I only spent 3 months with her. She came to my house with scares all over her body. She’s about 11years.
“I got the 11-year-old girl from a woman, Ikemesi popularly called Madam Simple who used to bring maid for people from Ogidi. She’s my father’s younger sister.
