Why Sunday Igboho is begging Ooni of Ifè

Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has apologies to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi for describing him and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, as ”Fulani slaves”.

Kemi Filani News recalls that Igboho at a virtual town hall meeting on Tuesday described the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and other leaders from the region ”Fulani slaves”.

In a recent video, he apologized revealing he made such utterance at the heat of the moment.

Former aviation minister, Femi Fani Kayode also took to his Twitter to beg the Ooni of Ife, to pardon the activist.

Taking to his Twitter, he wrote;

“I just spoke with Sunday Igboho & he confirmed to me that what he said about our reverred Ooni of Ife was said in the heat of the moment. He expressed his regrets & I was relieved to hear that. To err is human & to forgive is divine. I appeal to Kabiyesi to forgive him. 1/4
..For the record let me state clearly & categorically that NO Ooni of Ife, whether living or dead, has EVER been a slave of the Fulani & neither will they ever be. I can also confirm that my friend & brother Seyi Makinde, the Governor of Oyo state, is a deeply courageous..2/4
