Let us restate for the record that Mr. Val Ozigbo is a beloved son of Amesi of whom we are all proud of his personality and his achievements. He is one of Nigeria’s most respected and connected business leaders. He is the founder of one of the leading non-profit organisations in Nigeria, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo (VCO) Foundation. He is the Chairman and founder of Feet ‘N’ Tricks International, the largest promoter of freestyle football in Africa. Until last year, he was the President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, a multinational conglomerate with interests in hospitality, power, energy, and oil and gas. He resigned from this position to focus on the next chapter of his life in public service.

Over the years, Ozigbo has established several youth empowerment projects to benefit Amesi youth and those in the larger Anambra, Nigeria, and even the continent of Africa. His life-changing annual talent hunt and youth entrepreneurship programmes have directly benefited hundreds of our youth. Through these programmes several of our youth have been catapulted into entertainment stardom.

Val’s amiable personality, business acumen, and high intellect have been attested to by leaders in the business, financial, government, regulatory, political, entertainment, sports, and philanthropical world. His contributions to the advancement of these industries and his positive impact in the lives of the youth and women of Amesi are well documented.

It is against this backdrop that Val’s next chapter into the world of politics, by joining the gubernatorial race in our dear state of Anambra has caused and is still creating ripples. His enviable profile and dazzling image intimidate several contenders in the race for governor.

Ozigbo’s track record as an uplifter of our community are visible for all to see.

We wish to use this opportunity to also place on record that Mr. Valentine Ozigbo enjoys the full support and blessing of the Onunaku family, and the people of Amesi in general, by virtue of his iconic and meritorious works in Onunaku and Amesi, Aguata LGA, Anambra State, Nigeria and the world at large.
