Nigerian business mogul splashes cash on the victorious team

Valentine Ozigbo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2021 Anambra governorship election, was present at the women’s final of the U-17 Anambra Academicals Cup to cheer his alma mater, Christ the Redeemer College (CRC), Amesi, to victory.

The final match between CRC, Amesi and Community Secondary School Isuofia was played at the recently-commissioned Awka City Stadium on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. CRC, Amesi won the game by two goals to nil.

Before the game, Mr Ozigbo, an international sports developer, had met the sports girls and motivated them with words and the promise of a cash reward of N100,000 for every goal scored and a handsome cash gift if they won the trophy.

While speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the event, Ozigbo expressed pride at witnessing his hometown school lift the coveted trophy.

According to the multiple award-winning global CEO, CRC has always performed creditably in sports, and he is pleased to see the young ladies carrying on that tradition.

Several dignitaries attended the final game, including Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State.

After the game, Ozigbo hosted the victorious team to an exclusive dinner and fulfilled his promise of cash rewards.

Valentine Ozigbo is Chairman of Feet ‘N’ Tricks International, Africa’s largest promoter of freestyle football. Feet ‘N’ Tricks International hold the sole rights to host the annual Nigerian Freestyle Football Championship and the Africa Freestyle Football Championship.
