UNIZIK Students celebrate lecturer’s birthday in class with ‘surprise’ gift

It was a moment of joy and outpouring of emotion as 100-level students of Adult Education department (Mass Communication Option), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, surprised their lecturer, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, Ph.D, with what could be described as a perfect birthday gift.
The gift was given when the lecturer was taking them on an elective course with Mass Communication students at the main auditorium of Mass Communication department on Tuesday.
Course Rep of the adult Education department, Eleh Uchechukwu Francis flanked by Assistant, Emmanuel Nmesomachukwu Cynthia, interrupted the class when they walked up to the podium where the lecturer stood to hand over the gift item on behalf of their class.
The student gave the surprised lecturer a beautifully framed photograph in celebration of his birthday which was well appreciated by him.
Comrade Odogwu, a lecturer in Mass Communication Department, doubles as the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council. His 47th birthday which he celebrated on March 28th had attracted gifts, calls, prayers, and good wishes from family, friends, associates,and well-wishers.
