UNIZIK LECTURER IN SHOCK, DENIED ATTENTION IN CLASS BY STUDENTS

A popular Doctor of Philosophy lecturer in Mass Communication department Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka,, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD was in shock and disbelief after he was denied attention for his scheduled class by his students at the auditorium. 

The famous lecturer who is also a Journalist had arrived very early for his 8:00 lectures which were scheduled on 2nd June,2023 but were shocked to the marrow, when he walked into the class and the students denied him attention. He had asked them whether they were ready for his lectures but they all answered in unison,” Sir, we don’t have you”, that is to say, that they had no business with him for that period. He left but returned to still ask the same question. The students rather informed him, they were already waiting for his second who introduced the course.

The lecturer enraged but due to his humble nature, he didn’t use any harsh words on the students, rather, he checked his timetable to confirm whether he was truly meant to be in the class. 
After confirming that he was expected to teach the class,200 level students of mass communication, he asked for their reason for confusing him but discovered it was innocent mistake on the part of the  students.

The lecturer rather gave them series of assignments for their unruly behavior, while giving way for his second Mrs Evelyn Obi who came in 45 minutes later to continue from where she stopped.

He later admonished them on the conducts of journalism, telling them the do’s and don’ts as a journalist. 

Present in the auditorium was also Odogwu’s second in handling the course, Mrs. Evelyn Obi.
