“UNIZIK BUSINESS SCHOOL IS MORE OF PRACTICALS THAN THEORY”, PROFESSOR OKOYE

Professor Emma Okoye, the Director of Unizik Business School, UBS, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka on Wednesday said that ‘Unizik Business School is more practical, unlike the faculties that are hundred per cent academic. We find the business world very different from academia”.

Just as Prof Okoye announced new fascinating degree programmes with selling point of the BSc programme being the fact that: “they are of 3 years duration with the 3rd and final year being on campus in Europe or Nigeria. The students are opportuned to make their decision on where to study’.

At the press briefing by Unizik Business School tagged “Town and Gown: UBS and National Development using Global Benchmarking”, Prof Okoye reiterated that the Unizik Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Charles Esimone is passionate about the growth and progress of UBS in the month of November 2021, hence he gave approval for introduction of new courses at MSc and PhD levels in line with current industry trend as it pertains to Business Education.

The Director Unizik Business School, Prof Okoye stated further: “Therefore, it is our belief that with the commencement of the new programmes, UBS will double in student size and would have made us to set sail as the flagship of business schools in Nigeria. And well positioned us to compete in global market place, bearing in mind, the project 200 of Nnamdi Azikiwe University__Written in the memorandum.

‘Unizik Business School, has been able to enter into collaboration with the Centre of Regional and International Development (CRID) based in Canada and United Kingdom in April of 2022. They also forged a collaboration with the Onitsha Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ONICCIMA) for certificate programme. They entered into yet another collaboration with AfriHUB to forge partnership with foreign universities in Europe for both undergraduate courses and post graduates.

The members of the press were made to understand that the school would train it’s students in business languages, either in Mandarin (chinese language) or French.

When asked the payment rate and method of payment, the Director Prof. Emma Okoye , said the fee is a favourable one and can be made in several installments.
