Unizik: ASOMACS Inducts Budding Journalists, Launches Project 10m

The Association of Mass communication Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University has hosted Her first official engagement with the induction of newly admitted Mass Communication students, and launching of the project 10 million.

The oath taking for the induction was headed by the department congress speaker, Comrd. Inyama Sunday who after carrying out the oath taking function, admonished newly inducted students to report any unpleasant issue to different representative in respective levels who will in turn take the issue up to the office of the Head of Department.

President of the Asomacs body, Comrd. Emmanuel Nginikama stated that the reason for the project 10 million was to support the welfare of the students and create a source of revenue for the department which would see to empowerment in areas of Entrepreneurship skills, and Scholarship, Nginikama also solicited for support from sponsors and lecturers.

The Event braced the presence of distinguished dignitaries such as; Prof. Nnawuba Micheal, Dr Adaobi Okeke, Dr Omenora, Dr Odogwu Emeka Odogwu , Princewill Ugorji (Ceo Pruta)

Head of Mass communication department, Prof. Chinwe Uzochukwu advised the newly inducted students to avoid sexual promiscuity which according to her lead to soul tie and different spiritual problems.

Amidst the fun filled Euphoria the program still reserved time for lectures by distinguished lecturers on Student relationship with Lecturers.

Dr. Adaobi Okeke, Guest lecturer stated that Good relationship with Lecturers starts with positive relationship with fellow students as it leads to positive motivation, and safe learning.

In a bid to entertain the guest and students, social activities, which includes singing, Awards to distinguished students and choreography were organized.
