The first female Vice-Chancellor of University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi, will on Thursday, July 1, 2021, address participants at the inauguration of Centre for Disability and Special Needs Research (CENDASNER), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The director of CENDASNER, Prof. Williams Emeka Obiozor, who disclosed this to newsmen in Awka, the Anambra state capital, noted that the guest lecturer is a professor of special education, who would use her wealth of experience to address the visually-impaired and physically-challenged community of the university.
He also said that the chief host and vice-chancellor of the institution, Prof. Charles Okechukwu Esimone FAS, his management team and other members of the university community would be gracing the occasion.
He, therefore, called on well-meaning Nigerians and philanthropists to support the inauguration exercise by making a donation to support the disability rehabilitation and academic programmes of the centre in 2020/2021 school year at Unizik, Awka into the following account:
