UN confers Ambasodorial title to former PG Achalla
The United Nations Peace Volunteers, has bestowed an Eminent Peace Ambassador Award on a former President General of Achalla, in Awka North Local government area of Anambra state, Doctor Charles Okadigbo for his outstanding character and reputation.
The International Association of World Peace Advocates while presenting the award described Doctor Charles Okadigbo as a man who lives for humanity and growth of the society.
At the ceremony that took place at Achalla, the headquarters of Awka North council, Ambassador, Per Stafsen, the World Peace President, Denmark, International Association of World Peace Advocates said Doctor Okadigbo is qualified to make peace in any part of the World.
The International Peace Foundation, also presented the Man of the Year Award on Integrity in Traditional Practice to Doctor Okadigbo, granting him access to practice and establish in any part of the world.
Represented by His Eminence Professor Peter Eleanya, the United Nations Peace Representative, IAWPA Worldwide,
.said the awards were never money induced but based on the antecedents of Doctor Okadigbo who has used his wealth and traditional practice to assist humanity.
Pastor Eleanya said the three international awards conferred on the Former President General of Achala were Doctor of Dignity in Humanitarian Services from Emmanuel University, North Carolina, USA, Man of the Year Award in Traditional Practice, and Chattered Fellowship of International Association of World Peace.
According to him, the UN peace award comes with special packages including an Identification Card, Branded vehicle number plate approved by the United Nations, and a Diplomatic Passport that empowers Doctor Okadigbo to fly to any part of the world among other benefits.
He, therefore, noted that the awards and recognition were not for the awardee to intimidate or oppress people but to motivate him to do more for humanity and God.
The Chairman of the occasion and community leader in the area, Chief Patrick Dilibe said the Achalla community appreciates the International Community for finding their son worthy of the awards and recognitgaveiven his good works in the area.
Elder brother of the awardee and Executive Assistance to governor Soludo on Legislative Matters, Chief Chinedu Okadigbo, while congratulating his brother for standing out amongst his peers, called on youths to be consistent in whatever good they are doing as it pays to do so.
in an interview, a stakeholder in Nteje Community, Ozordinobi Martin Nwogbonuorah, described the award winner as a man who lives for the people and is deserving of the recognition bestowed upon him.
Doctor Charles Okelutu Okadigbo popularly known as Nwanayoeze who was full of appreciation to God for using him to better the lives of many, thanked the International Community for recognising his contributions while promising to keep up the good work.
Doctor Okadigbo said the recognition,Awards and Conferment will spur him into reaching out to more people and contributing in building a peace loving society.
Various cultural ogene groups, friends, well-wishers, Party Faithful, and family members were on the ground to rejoice and felicitate with him on the great occasion.
