According to 17 years old Lizzy Ufuoma, daughter of Pastor Amos who witnessed the attack, the cultists numbering 7 armed men were on the trail of two brothers, Ejimi Ken Isaiah and Ejimi Jesse Ejiro and others who, they claimed betrayed the confraternity in line with advise from Pastor Amos.

According to Lizzy Ufuoma who spoke to newsmen and the police about the incident, their targets disappearance after the Pastor’s wise counsel was why they visited him to tell them where they have disappeared to.
She said the cultists descended on her mother, Mrs. Dorcas Ufuoma and her elder brother, David Ufuoma and killed them in cold blood because they could not lay their hands on their targets.
