Troops Rescue 11 Hostages, Recover Arms in Benue, Taraba Offensive

Troops of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have rescued 11 hostages and recovered arms in coordinated raids across Benue and Taraba States.

Led by Col. K.O. Bukoye with air support, the offensive targeted criminal hideouts in Ukum (Benue) and Wukari (Taraba), resulting in two arrests and the recovery of rifles, ammunition, and fetish charms.

The OPWS Force Commander, Maj.-Gen. Moses Gara, lauded the troops’ efforts and reaffirmed the military’s commitment to flushing out criminal elements in the region.
