Traveler kidnapped, Rev father escapes death in Anambra

Residents in Anambra State were still recuperating from series of unknown gunmen attacks when last week, a certain man travelling from Enugu-Agidi to Isuanocha was kidnapped.
The family of the victim allegedly pleaded with security outfits not to involve the police so that their son won’t be killed after his release clause was bargained for N5million. www.odogwublog.com could not ascertain whether the family went on to pay the sum to the kidnappers.
In a related incident, www. odogwublog.com gathered that a Reverend father escaped being kidnapped along Amansea road, Thursday.
The Reverend father (name withheld) is an indigene of Nawgu, Enugu State was fast enough to escape being kidnapped by the men of the underworld but unluckily received a shot in the head and is currently undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital in the state.
Recent terror and crime in the state has cast doubts over the security of life in the state and the re end report of the kidnap scenario would only trigger fear in the mind of the people.
