Trade Union Leaders Hail Gov. Obiano On Market Election

The apex leaders in Ogbaru Main Market, near Onitsha, Anambra State have applauded the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano and Ministry of trade and commerce headed by Hon. Uche Okafor for conducting democratic election in their Market.

The apex body  comprised, the  Patrons, Board of Trustees, the Sectional Heads, the line Chairmen and Secretaries, as well as the stake holders.

 In a statement made available to journalists in Onitsha, during their joint meeting on February 17, 2022, which was presided over by the grand patron and Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT), High Chief Sam Mendu, they held  that, the state government, through the commissioner for trade and  Commerce, Hon. Uche Okafor, did the needful by conducting democratic election in their Market on January 25, 2022.

They also appreciated Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA), the electoral Board, all the election observers/ supervisors and security agents for their high level of professionalism by given various contestants level playing ground

In their further statement, they stated that the election was the most freest and fairest exercise ever conducted in the history of the Market, adding that the victory of Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu was based on his hard work and his developmental strides in the Market during his one year caretaker Committee Chairman.

The traders however noted that they passed vote of confidence on the newly elected executives led by Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu in  the election.
