Tinubu sacks Unizik’s VC, Dissolves Governing Council

The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu led Federal Government has sacked the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Anambra State Prof. Bernard Odoh.

A press release to that effect from the Federal Ministry of Education dated 20th November, 2024 and signed by the Director Press and Public Relations Boriowo Folasade contained this .

FG also announced the dissolution of the governing council of the institution following what it described as grave breaches of the law governing the university and disregard for lawful directives from the Federal Ministry of Education.
