Tinubu, APC Governors Plans Tactically To Remove Obaseki From Government House.
The All Progressives Congress, APC, governors are making moves to deliver Edo State for APC and Ize-Iyamu, and in order to map out reliable strategies to achieve this, they are poised to meet with the national leader of the party, Senator Bola Tinubu, who is believed to be a master strategist, and other leaders of the party to discuss how to go about it, ODOGWU MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS has reported.
ODOGWU MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS learnt that the meeting would be convened soon, and it is solely to discuss tactical, political strategies the party will deploy to beat the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki, and the PDP fine and square in the forthcoming September 19 governorship election.
A governor who spoke with the newspaper stated that the expected meeting is in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive, immediately after the last NEC meeting in Abuja, for the party to mobilize all the party’s organs to ensure victory for Ize-Iyamu in Edo state.
The governor emphasized further that, so far the campaign council has been constituted and its inauguration coming this week, all they need to do is to put the president’s directive in action, and to do that, the APC governors are now planning to meet with party’s leaders and other stakeholders, most especially the National Leader, Bola Tinubu, to discuss what need be done.
The governor told ODOGWU MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS that the party is confident ahead of the election, as it has the support of the Edo people because of the popularity of the party’s candidate.
In his word: “Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu is a grassroots politician. He is at home with the politics of the state. As the leader of the opposition in Edo State in the last two general elections, he made things very difficult for us. Now, we are happy he has come back home. And with our full support, he will deliver Edo State to APC,’’ the governor stated.
