Fulani herdsmen

Following the present crisis going on in the country between Fulani’s herdsmen and the Yoruba’s, it has brought a lot of confusion in the country as different National leaders advise the government on what to do. The crisis has lasted for about two weeks as the southerners try to chase away the Fulani’s herdsmen.

The meeting was held between the Sultan of Sokoto and the leaders of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) concerning the crisis of Fulani’s. His Royal Highness advise the leaders of the group to find a better and possible solution to the challenges faced by herdsmen in Nigeria.

He also urged all the members of the association to be of good attitude and respect in any environment they find themselves in the country. After he had lamented on the way herdsmen are been treated in the country, he stated that it is not every criminal activity in the country that is been done by the Fulani’s herdsmen.

The Sultan of Sokoto who is the chairman board of trustees of the association also advised all the members of the association to stop and resist every activity that will tarnish their image and also they should obey all constitutional authorities given by the government.

Lastly, the National Secretary of the association, Baba Ngelzarma, uses the opportunity to ask the Nigerian government to provide a skillful program that will help the Fulani’s in addition to their cattle rearing.
